Whats on your turntable tonight?

Now, with 32+ hours on the new amp I am beginning to dig into some premium vinyl.

Getz/Gilberto  AP/QRP 45 RPM.  This is a real treat.  It's like the musicians are in the room with you.

Miles Davis  'Kind Of Blue'  AP/QRP UHQR.  I got this about 6 weeks ago.  Limited Edition #1177.  They make 1,000 copies off of a master stamper and then use a new stamper for the next 1,000.  Thus, my copy is 177 on the next stamper.  What a great production on one of the all time jazz recordings.

The 3-dimensional depth, spatiality, and natural tonal timbre is astonishing.  I look forward to this weekend.  Aural delight!  I busted the budget, but holy cow, this is the best sound I have ever owned.  Time to enjoy life.

That is still such a fun LP.

The Modern Lovers, when I heard it that album for first time in the mid-70’s, made me re-think my musical preferences (at the time a dedicated Dead Head hippy). They were way ahead of their time when you consider when the songs on that LP were first played (early 70’s). I took notice, and could not believe what I was hearing.
