I have Rush "Moving Pictures" as an original pp issue.  It is so wonderful SQ but I bought the reissue done on DMM process and was somewhat disappointed.  Snappy, dynamic and all that, but the timbre and overall tonal quality seemed thin.  Quieter vinyl, but I prefer my original copy for the better SQ.  Interesting, as Jim stated, in theory it should be better.  But, it is what it is.  And I know what I like.

Just received my backorder copy of Marvin Gay "What's Goin On".  I look forward to cleaning it and then spinning it, later tonight.
Joel, that DMM Vinyl “Moving Pictures” goes for big bucks online. Word is that MP is not going to get the Anniversary treatment like all their other albums beginning with 2112. I hope this word is wrong and we do get something for Christmas this year, but like you, at least for now, I prefer my original which sounds pretty good.
By the way, I think 2112 is the best sounding Rush album. The Digital “Test for Echo” is different but also sounds very good to me, especially the guitars. YMMV of course.
