Has anyone heard the new Eric Alexander signature speakers the matrix LS?

Have not seen these but any speakers at that price better look nice unless they are designed for commercial use in large auditoriums, arenas, etc.

Otherwise maybe these will corner some very limited market for less attractive expensive home speakers and still turn a nice profit. Assuming they have high sensitivity and extended bass response going for them so that will help.

Just saying. Have not seen or heard.

Just think of all the other speakers that you could buy with a list price of 18K or less.

Then think of all the other additional speakers that you could buy gently used for 18K or less.

Then ask yourself very calmly why you would choose this speaker over all the other choices.

BTW, I am a robot with special image-sensing and image-recognition software.

You can buy a pair of Ohm F5 for several thousand less...even less with trade ins. Those are more compact, include powered subs and weigh more: 150 pounds each, but at least on castors for easy placement.

I think these are the ones our own Douglas Schroeder reviewed on Dagogo a few months back.

BTW I have a pair of older F5s as my mains and can highly recommend them, but no powered subs with those and retail price ~ 14 years ago was only $6000.

I like Tektons for what they are (have a pair, actually), but $18k does seem kind of expensive for a plain box. Eric really should work on the aesthetics if he's going to play in that market.
