i came across an article that claimed it was once considered the best jazz album ever released.  It featured alto saxophonist Charlie Parker, trumpeter Dizzy Gillespie, pianist Bud Powell, bassist Charles Mingus, and drummer Max Roach playing together as a group.

A great album for a beautiful spring day!  The liner notes describe them at proto-punk.  Kinda sounds like the B-52s to me.

The Mighty Mighty Bosstones - When God Was Great, Qobuz.  I was really into the Bosstones in the 90's, but kind of lost interest.  This might be one of their best records.  They still have that great fun sound and a lot of fire left in their bellies.
