@asvjerry , great point about The Commons. A concept baked into the minds of the founding fathers and one of the central tenets of the Constitution but you wouldn't know it from all the privatization of resources and government functions going on.

Yes, the Commons was very important to early Americans, every little town in America had a commons where  folks gathered, very important to the spirit of the people. Remember, states were often referred to as commonwealths. Think about that one for a minute.

All this obsession with individualism and personal freedom new, or is it primitive, concoction of politicians. A single human in battle with the world, what a reductive concept.
