EVS Music Purifier

Rick Schultz of Tweak EVS has a new product called the Music Purifier.

All I can say is wow. Immediately noticeable. For only $125 these are a steal and I highly recommend them.

I have had many of these type of speaker link tweaks over the years, like EVs own Ground Enhancer, the DNM ones, and a few others. All of them did something positive but also took something away. These EVS Music Purifiers seem to be all positive and no negatives. Maybe that will change later on with more critical listening but for now I am impressed.

Yes, your head will explode.....it's fun......try it.

Here is what a person with Magnepan .7s ($1395 a pair......not $50K) said:

" bass is much cleaner and tighter, imaging seems a lot better, the music just seems far more relaxed and enjoyable."

The more tweaked out your system.....the more any one thing makes a difference....If you have 100 veils....then removing 5 is not going to be that audible.....if you have only 5 veils....then everything makes more of an audible difference.  I still don't understand why most audiophiles still have their speaker cables (and all cables) on the floor.....talking about veils!......cable risers are cheap....I use cardboard.

Mine arrived yesterday. Both the music purifier and ground enhancers. I added them to the system on the speakers and didn’t really hear any diff.

Tonight I get home from work and Chuck a disc on and WHAT AM I HEARING? The problem is I hear a very noticeable difference and but I’m failing to quantify them in a way I can put into words.

I am running both the purifiers and enhancers on the upper set of binding posts where the speaker cable connects. My jumpers then run down the lower set. I think I need a set for the lowers now.

I would advise anyone to give these a shot. I’m seriously impressed.

Don't use both at the same time. I only like the music purifiers, on the speaker terminals.

I just wanted to post this for the community since I found the EVS in a discussion for tweaks and wanted to try it out and hopefully this summary helps. Thanks

I was hoping for audible improvements (yes skeptical), but that was not the case.  It was dramatic. I can hear better dimensionality, and a more transparent presentation.  I thought that may just be me wanting to hear a difference, but went immediately to my second system (Akitika w/DQ 10 speakers) and then third (Primaluna w/Wharfedale speakers) stereo systems to make comparisons.  The change made the 2nd & 3rd system sound flat by comparison.  I liked it so much that I bought two more for my 4th & 5th system.  Rick, thank you for a reasonably priced tweak and will recommend it to audio enthusiast friends & family.
