New CDP

Take a look at the Technics SL-G700 SACD player. The only downsides are a slow drawer and no open/close button on the remote. If it's great sound you desire, it's a nice option. I have one and have completely forgotten about it which is the best thing I can say about any product.

BTW, there are two options out there: one with a built in streamer that goes for  more but if all you need is CD/SACD playback, go with the original. Also, the prices seem to differ around $300 amongst retailers with one saying prices will go up by $300 soon, so some might still be selling at the lower price. That, and availability seems to be a problem with some.

If it were me, I'd consider the Maranta SA-7s1 available used here today. I have no connection with the seller but someone should give that player a new home. If I didn't have so many players now, I would buy it. The dealer's phone number is listed in the ad. $2500 for a $7500 (MSRP) player is still a good deal, as long as there are no issues. Call to find out.
