New CDP

Interested in replacing my Oppo 103.

Budget is $5K.

Not interested in separate transport and DAC.

Will consider CDP only and also CD/SACDP.

pre-owned REGA ISIS VALVE cdp/ dac. It comes in two configurations … the regular s/s and more expensive tube ( valve) version

Big bonus feature:

“ …. Those worried  about the viability of the CD format and getting your player serviced in the future, fear not. Inside the owner’s manual, there is a signature from the technician that assembled your ISIS, another tech that QC’d the electrical and mechanical systems and the tech that tested and archived not one, but two spare laser units. I think it’s safe to say that the ISIS will last longer than most of its owners and I appreciate this attention to detail, with CD transport mechanisms getting scarcer all the time…”

Take a looking at the Wavetouch modded Oppo BDP-95. It is the least glare and veil sounding CD/SACD/streamer(universal) player in the world. Just like all power cords are made by people who don't know how proper audio cables are made, all CDPs are not made properly. The cheap CDPs and hi-end CDPs, they all sound glare (brightness) and veiled. Many people believe that glare and veil sounds are from loudspeakers. However, all audio glare, brightness, and veil sounds are more in CDPs. I know this because I made CDP that doesn't sound glare and veiled.

Compare Wavetouch Modded CDP vs expensive CDPs sounds.

Maybe I missed it but where in the videos are the A/B comparisions within the same systems with the same recordings between the high end digital components and your modified Oppo?
