Incredible improvement in sound quality

Ok, I am an old fart with a stereo. But my system sounds so much better tonight. Why? I went to my doctor today, as I do every six months (one of my favorite people)… and he noticed that one ear had a lot of wax. So, he had his nurse use a warm water irrigation device to clear it. Wow.

I use some drops, and work to keep my ear canals clear. But, for some reason I was not able to clear my right ear.

So, wow. My system sounds so much better. Sometimes you just need a professional. Although technically you can buy these devices for a couple hundred on line. You need to realize you need to use it.

I Have tinnitus and excessive ear wax...My doctor says Don't remove the wax...that could worsen the tinnitus and I don't want to take that chance.

My Audiologist says no OTC diy stuff. Get them cleaned professionally only. I think Medicare covers that, or used to do so.

I use a Waterpik showerhead set to center pulsating blast to clean out my ear canal.  A doctor would also use significant water pressure to clean ears.  I figure that the initial air would cushion the eardrum, then column of water in the canal would likewise cushion the water pulses.  I've been doing this about once/month for decades. No hearing loss.

I bought a Leiput ear wax optical device that connects with your iPhone to show you the inside of your ear. It is the size of a pen and displays the real time images on your iPhone. While it has little spoons to attach to remove wax. It was most useful just to look around. Getting wax out when clogged I just find best to leave to the nurse. I can easily see why other folks have chosen differently. But I fround this camera really useful to<figure out what is going on.
