Ways to make your digital streaming sound better

Having tried a lot of different methods including fiber optic , sonically Conventional

Quality ethernet cable sounds more realistic , first at your modem router combo -get rid of the $5 wall wart it is nothing but added noise . Little green computer sells a decent 8 amp 12 v type for $300, that was much better , better still was the                 Linear Tube Audio LPS , on your router it states the voltage and most are around 4 amp. These LPS  go to 8 amp for $700 on Audiogon .  Then you need a respectable Ethernet switch, the best one I have found has a LPS built in as well as a OCxo clock -LHY -SW8 , you need 2 Ethernet cables ,your best one goes to your Streamer ,that’s where it makes the biggest improvement .
with the latest Eversolo DMP -A8; really made a nice improvement just by doing these few things  many Audiophiles overlook .your streamer will thank you as well as your ears . Excellent streamer dac -preamp for under $2k .Many Excellent reviews . a mini review to follow

Usually, people are willing to help others.  But there are some who like to pull other people's chain so that they feel that they have some sort of power of influence, likely they want attention and not feel powerless.  It's like some kid who acts up just to get attention.  Sometimes they put others down so that they feel relatively better about themselves.   Often they're quick to blame others for their unhappiness rather than ever looking at their part of the problem. These people are selfish.  If they want to get along with others aka join the community they must change, the world will not change for them.  The change they must make is to develop empathy.   You can't teach maturity, they must do the work.

Back on topic.

Sifting through the many audiophile switches while keeping a lid on costs was difficult.  I'm not a fan of extra cabling connected to external clocks and LPS.  I liked Ediscreation and Synergistic Research offerings, but I finally settled on Network Acoustics new switch and Ethernet filter when budget allows.  Still deciding on Ethernet cabling but I'm leaning towards SR offerings.

Great question.  Have thought a lot about this, and here are two of the reasons I’ve come up with:

1) Internet anonymity has diminished the obligation of common civility, which is traditionally reinforced by the social norms of our “community.” On another thread, I compared it to the tribalism of the children in “Lord of the Flies.” Same dynamic: there the boys on the island were marooned on an island away from civilization and adult supervision.

2) The members of this forum are overwhelmingly male.  My wife is convinced that the Y chromosome is inherently unstable, lol!  If we were all neighbors, there’d undoubtedly be frequent fights breaking out, with the occasional shooting on weekend nights.

I’ve had an iFi LAN iSilencer in my system for about a month now, between the Purist Audio Ethernet cable and EERO (I figured cleaning up the signal coming out of EERO kind of makes sense since the Purist 🐈‍⬛ 7 is already pretty good at noise rejection).
I’ve gone back and forth few times to A/B with and without the iFi and I can tell you if you put a gun to my head I probably won’t be able to identify in a blind A/B test if it’s there or not. I think on some tracks, especially ones where there are only few acoustic instruments, I can hear a slight drop in noise floor, but like I said, it is really tough to tell. Good news is it does no harm. This is probably more of a testament to how good the Purist 🐈 7 already is and how robust the Ethernet implementation is on my streamer.

I’ve used Network Acoustics Eno Streaming System (filter and cable) in the past and that was 100% audible. However, I prefer it as direct and simple as possible (the Eno system sounded great but mellowed out the dynamics a bit), so I sold the Eno.
