Mad Scientist Audio Speaker Cable

I had another discussion going about either to go with Nordost or Audioquest speaker cable but I came across Mad Scientists Audio Ultra Magic Speaker cable. Steve Huff compared it to Nordost Valhalla 2 and found they are equal to them with lot less money. Has anyone  bought these and what does the audiophile community think about these cables?

I’m not ontop of the state of the art in cabling. What is the fraction of companies with good reputations vs those with lesser reputations?

What I’m wondering is how often someone tests a cable, doesn’t like it, and reports this, compared to when they /do/ like a cable.

If there any warranty , audition policy ?   Even the best Nordost like the $$ oden

or Valhalla is to all likings ,very detailed vp but can be too neutral in some systems

the mad scientist tends to use Graphene in a lot of products which presents a warmer signal ,  trade offs ,your taste in your system is what counts most.

Bob, the Mad Scientist, is a very decent guy. I met him four years ago. Dropped into his place. Had a good chat. Listened to his system.

Have had his USB, Black Magic. Upgraded to Black Magic Ultra, and now to Black Magic Gold. Also have two Black Magic, and four Black Magic Ultra power cables.

He makes mighty fine cables!

The cable title of 'Black Magic' is named after the 1995 New Zealand yacht that won the America's Cup from Dennis Conner.

There is no objective difference between speaker wires regardless of what the manufacturer's marketing department says.

Huff doesn’t run any controlled experiments when he reviews things.  He uses whatever he’s got on hand.  I tried one of the streamers he raved about and it was very harsh in my system.

Don’t buy anything you can’t try in your own system and return if you don’t like it.
