Power Cord for Accuphase Amplifier

I have a new Accuphase P-4600 amplifier and am looking for a power cord to replace the stock. So far I’ve tried the Cullen Crossfire and the IceAge OFC Frankencable. While both cables have worked well on my source components they have not performed better than the stock on the amplifier. So to those who have Accuphase amplifiers what power cable has worked for you?

As I mentioned in other threads Accuphase strongly recommends that you use only the stock cord and so far that has been the best. The. other two have resulted in a darker sound with less soundscape openness.

I’ve been trying to stay under $500 for the cord but would be willing to go a little higher if it improves the amps performance.

For the pedigree of the P-4600, I would stick with the stock PC because of your limited budget. A $500 cable will sound the same as a lamp cord, which is basically what it is in a fancy wrapper.

ASR did a test where a highly distorted AC voltage (which would never be found in any home AC line) was connected to the AC input of an Audio Precision 555 distortion analyser. The AP 555 performed flawlessly! Science again disproves an irrational belief.

……so hilroy48 what Accuphase amp or integrated amp do you own that you like with the Wireworld as the OP has inquired on. I have owned 3 Accuphase amps and now have the Shunyata Omega QR on it and seems to be a nice match .,…but not in your price range as of today. I did have Cardas Clear Beyond at one point and you can find those used here at or around your price . The Cardas was okay for the most part ……look for some older Synergistic Research without all the “ junk “ nonsense attached to it and that might work. They like a cord with power as the power supplies on those amps are beefy and like the juice to sing. One other company that might work are the JPS Kapatvator. That might be an option and The Cable Company has a few used / demo’s ….
