I avoid any threads that directly discuss politics but the ironic thing about this thread is that Erik's infamous Amir/ASR topic was a revelation to me about how politial and tribal identity has taken root in this hobby.
And he knew it. Members here have asked him what his motivation is for starting so many threads that stir the pot. Funny how some moments can concentrate the mind and this is one of them.
I don't think Eric ever liked my politics (among others as well of the same persuasion) and it was after I posted how I liked my Technics integrated that he remarked on how could I like something that measured so poorly in some respect. He did that on a couple more posts whenever I brought it up.
He then went and started a thread on how could anyone pay what Technics was asking for their SU-R1000 when it measured so poorly. It didn't get many replies.
Looking back, I can see where that could be construed as some passive/aggressive trolling at work leaving one to wonder what his real motives were. Just some food for thought.
