The (never ending) Quest For “More”

“Keep searching for that sound in your head until it becomes a reality”

This is what drives my insanity 👌🏼

@bolong

"Sincerest apologies"?

I have absolutely no idea where you’re coming from with that snarky comment.

Perhaps you assumed I’m poor and you just had to let me (and everyone else) know that you’re not?

@stuartk

Yeah, I thought you were virtue signalling a bit there, and there was a hint of this:

people with enough money to upgrade have let this take over their ability to just focus on the music.  That is snarky indeed.

.

It's a sickness! I just upgraded my pre-amplifier from D'Agostino progression to D'Agostino momentum HD and bought Estelon Xb diamonds speakers

about to replace my focal kanta 3 , Two and a half months ago, And now I'm wanting to upgrade To the estelon X diamond,  And I'm using my savings

😭 I can't stop!

@bolong:

people with enough money to upgrade have let this take over their ability to just focus on the music.

I didn’t say that.

What I did say:

It’s easy to lose track of the music if you’re constantly obsessed with upgrading

... which can be a problem even if one has little to spend. It’s just that one can get much more carried away with endless gear chasing if one has lots to spend.

I never said that having a large audio budget inherently leads to endless gear chasing or necessarily inhibits appreciation for music. There are forum members who I very much respect who have much more costly systems than I’ll ever have AND who clearly love music.
