Images often take a fair amount of storage so I suspect managing operating expenses factors into the decision to not make it as easy as it could be.

This. Also, online pics do disappear, and hosting sites too (remember Photobucket?), leaving blank frames in the posts where the pics used to be. Not a big deal if it showed your cats lounging on top of your class A monoblocks pumping a Wagner symphony into your 1 ohm speakers. On the other hand, the vanishing of hosted pics has rendered useless literally thousands of carefully documented fix / repair threads, and that's a loss for the community. No one should use linked hosted pics imo.

Now I am interested in this topic... Here is my system, copied from my home computer, and not available online - I opened it and right clicked and settled on "copy", then pasted: And nada... So, do I need to post this image online first? What about a FB post - can that be shared if it is nestled in the FB system, not visible to non-"friends"? Nope - that does not work either (one can keep updating and editing this these posts for 30 minutes!). So private images cannot be shared here at all it appears. One has to post to an online image repository and then post the path to it, I guess. Does anyone have an online place they recommend? Tim

@elliottbnewcombjr I am aware of that every pic I've tried to post is hosted online. It still won't work unfortunately. |
