So far i would pick the Psvane ACME 845 tubes. Better highs, midrange just right bass is very articulate. With the mesh designs, teflon internal structure, super black plate, really nice sounding tubes, super clean and transparent.

@zipost which supplier do you get your Psvane ACME 845's from? |
@pdreher i don’t remember but you want to search online, for a trusted direct dealer in China, make sure to purchase the extended warranty for 2yrs, keep your receipt make sure they do honor it. To my ears the Acme 845 sounds even with both highs, mids and bass responses. I would leave my bias until red plate but try not to do it too much, sounds the best. Hope this help, pm if you want more infos. Happy Listing! |
My experience with Linlai 101D tubes not so good, doesn't mean other Linlai not good. Psvane Acme 300B wonderful tube, reliable and great sound quality, in midst of comparing to Western Electric, already had possible failure at around 5 hours, being tested at the moment. As for the 845, I've had great luck with various Psvane, TII and limited production run black bottles. Acme's at top of my list for next 845. |
I have the Line Magnetic 845 Premium which uses a pair of 845's & 300B's. I will say that the Linlai Elite E-845s have taken a very long time to sound good for me. It took about 75 hours for me to begin to like them. I do like them quite a bit now after about 100 hours. |
