Comments on Fanfare FM-2G - FM Antenna

Any comments on the Fanfare FM-2G - vertical FM Antenna? Does it work okay in the house? Where do you have the antenna located and how sensitive is it to location? Does moving it around the room help? Thanks...

I have Fanfare and a directional which is wired with Radio Shack RG-6QS, I believe. This is R-S's premium antennae wire and in A/B vs. Fanfare, the R-S wire was better than the wire Fanfare uses.
You might consider rewiring the Fanfare.
Can't comment on the Magnum Dynalab ST-2.

Have owned and carried around a Fanfare FM-2G for 40 years without ever getting a chance to use it. At last, that day is coming with connection to an MD-108T. Question: being omni, will it be better mounted in a casement window well than trapped on the front wall behind the equipment racks? (I would certainly think so, but . . . )

22 year old thread. Shouldn't the tuners signal strength meter tell you where it likes the antenna? The higher the better for one thing.

Oh no, not at all. The cleanest signal will probably be where there's minimum multipath - that's not necessarily where the signal is strongest. It's why many classic FM tuners had multipath meters.
