I had the same experience with my Analysis Plus Oval 8's.
World’s Best Cable 7 awg
I have participated in many discussions here. This is my first time starting one. I had become very frustrated trying to find a speaker cable that worked well in my system and to my ears. I’ve tried some of the boutique cable offered on Audiogon, and always found something not right. Usually too bright or weak bass etc. I purchased a pair of Acoustic zen absolute speaker cables, and while they mostly sounded right, there was some music tracks I was not enjoying. Decided to try Cardas clear Reflection. This was a very interesting cable. I’ve never experienced a cable that made this kind of difference. Tremendous bass slam and loud in your face. I realize cardas cables are known for long break in periods. However, after a week my ears could no longer take the harshness I was hearing. Out of frustration I purchased these WBC. They have a very long no question ask return policy, so at 189 for 8 ft, I had nothing to loose. Well these cables shocked me. I no longer heard cables, I heard music. It was like I heard MY system for the first time. These cables add nothing , nor take ANYTHING away. No tone controls here. I was so shocked I exchanged my acoustic zen cables in and out several times to make sure what I was hearing. Just wanted to share my experience.
I have several amps and speakers. The WBT were used with
Passlabs integrated 250

@dwest1023 I agree, the big WBC Ultimate are amazing speaker cables. I run them from my Pass XA-25 to the Acoustat 1+1. The WBC interconnects are also very good. I use them for RCA and XLR. Pine Tree Audio for USB. Supra Cat 8 for Ethernet cables. Replaced a lot of Cardas cables with WBC and Pine Tree Audio. All three brands provide great value! |
