Jesse Colin Young has passed away.

This decade has been brutal, and it's not even halfway over. I can't help but wonder who'll be next. Dylan will be the monumental one, for me at least.

Youngbloods were San Fran based yet not really part of that scene. Loved the vibe of that group, and subsequent releases by Jesse. RIP

Saw him in ’78 with B. Raitt at the Santa Barbara County Bowl. Good times. For me, the passing away of such artists has become symbolic of so much that I care about that is now being flushed down the proverbial toilet. 

“Get Together” is one of those seminal songs from the era that just instantly takes me back to my childhood, and it did so again today.  RIP. 

Dylan can't die, it would be too much to bear.
