transparent ultra vs ultra xl

Ontario, funny you should ask. I was just wandering the same qestion. I found a used pair for a steal and have used them to replace a set of "super w/XL" I can't say that I have had the same experience as Jvr. Try the same experiment yourself and I doubt you will either. Jvr, did you just try the speaker cable? Try the whole system with Transparent. A good speaker wire is not going to fix crappy I.C.'s upstream, but Radio Shack will hide them just fine, along with alot of other details.
