Christmas Jazz Anybody?

Brubeck, and Oscar Peterson all have jazzy Christmas CD's on the Telarc label. If you like big band jazz, there was an album of Mobil Fidelity a number of years ago, but I can't remeber title.

I know that Wynton came out with some Xmas tunes w/Mumbles a while back (early 90s)...might have been "Crescent City Christmas." I taped it off FM back in the day but never knew what the release was, but the tunes walk the fine line between traditional and new, with some of Wynton's harmonic "variations" that he does so well.

Not exactly jazz, but close is James Taylor's Christmas CD. The audio quality is among the best I know to boot.

Cyrus Chestnut & Friends " A Charlie Brown Christmas ". I second the James Taylor Christmas CD...Excellent stuff.

Boney James: "Boney's Funky Christmas" is very good also.
