Lucinda Williams live

A blistering live performance last night. One of the best live shows I've ever seen and the sound was great. Loud but not so loud I felt the need for hearing protection.

She stopped the band in the middle of the second song because she didn't like the mix - too much bass. Later in the show she played that song again so we'd get our "money's worth".

saw jerry jeff walker in 73 and he had to start over several times. something about san gria wine. still listen to mr bo jangeles. gives these people a break. they are artists not machines or performing monkees. saw eric clapton during one of his less than stellar moments. don,t care.that.s the way it goes. did charli parker always display genuis?
After an evening alternating between the LP and CD versions of Blessed, it's clear that this is Lucinda at the top and an extraordinary album by any measure.
She's opening for the Levon Helm Band at Massey Hall in Toronto tonight and tomorrow.
just listened to her new release. lucinda is incredible. i bought the itunes delux offer and there are half a dozen "kitchen recordings" of some of the songs that i liked as much as the cd offering.
