oppo 205
If you are looking at the oppomod.com website, I would go with the "LPM SE" version for $360. It uses better electrolytic caps, better film bypass caps and better rectifier diodes.Since you are using the Oppo 205, Clones Audio also has a linear po...
Sound drops out for split second every few minutes.....
Are you using any other application while it's playing Deezer/Tidal?  If you don't have enough CPU, it can cause split-second dropouts during playback.  I experience the same thing with Jriver when using Firefox to browse an especially complex web...
Recommendations for Blu-ray Player
Oppo 103/105 is an excellent platform for streaming, but options are limited.  I know it streams Netflix and only a few other providers. It does NOT stream anything from Amazon.
Recommendations for Blu-ray Player
HiMedia S500 player with a linear power supply.  It's one of the only two "generic" Android 9.0 OS devices, supporting full AndroidTV and Google Play apps, including Amazon Music for HD.  Alternatively, Nvidia Shield, but it has a proprietary powe...
Warn Sound Capacitor
I don't know if caps will make enough of a difference.  My understand of Clarity caps is they are a bit more higher resolution and uncolored.  The Mundorf caps may be a little colored/veiled in comparison, but that's a hard call.Probably the best ...
Seas Excel Millennium Tweeter
Erik is right.  It could be a problem that occured within the crossover.  Take out the woofers and examine the crossover circuit for any burned out resistors/caps.  Although, it could be that a component is burned out but may not have any visible ...
Hi Fi Tuning Supreme fuse-Burn In?
sorry, I can't comment on tube equipment.  I don't have any experience with that.  I would imagine that you want to be very careful about keeping the stock recommended fuse values.  On tube equipment, the 115/120V AC voltage actually gets converte...
Hi Fi Tuning Supreme fuse-Burn In?
I have experienced in some cases on preamps that have high current analog circuits (such as Class A) or on HT processors with a ton of op amps that a larger amperage fuse will improve things. For example, replacing the standard 800 mA fuse on a Kr...
Finally!!! I just purchased some Aerial Acoustics 7T speakers! How do I power them???
The ATI has good reviews, as does D-Sonic... I would lean toward the ATI Class D because of the linear power supply.  D-Sonic uses switching power supply like most of the Class D offerings. I was wondering if I could use the older Aerial speake...
Finally!!! I just purchased some Aerial Acoustics 7T speakers! How do I power them???
I wouldn't be against the TAS7 Its just the right rack(Sound anchors maybe), dedicated power and a known parts path in the future. Okay, there seems to be a confusion on this Krell amp naming.  "TAS" actually refers to the amp with the full nam...
Best 5.1 complete system under $3000
I would go with Rythmik subwoofer instead of SVS.  They are in the same price category and the Rythmik has better bass definition.
Finally!!! I just purchased some Aerial Acoustics 7T speakers! How do I power them???
My experience with Adcom amps back in the day was that they are voiced warm like the B&K, but lacked fidelity and slam.  They also sounded dirty/grainy/messy.  Ultimately, the B&K amps were just so much better.I don't have experience with ...
Which USB Re Clocker
Audio-gd DI-20 is not a Reclocker but a DDC and it will improve the sound of your DAC a LOT. I'm re-reading this thread and came across this post, which led me to researching the Audio-GD DI-20.  I didn't know Audio-GD made a product like this....
Finally!!! I just purchased some Aerial Acoustics 7T speakers! How do I power them???
I actually owned a B&K 7250 back in the day.  It's an excellent amp with lots of current and slam.  However, it is voiced very warm and doesn't have the high frequency clarity/transparency that other amps do.  Similar amps could be something l...
100W, 200W, or 300W?
You started this discussion indicating you really wanted McIntosh.  That's fine, but keep in mind that McIntosh has a mild and laid back midrange type of sound.  Very pleasing to listen to on a high resolution speaker like B&W D3, but it's not...
