any thoughts? Sounds like most everybody talked you off a 28 yr old unit. So, new Audiolab if ok with slot loading. New Cambridge if you're not. Had the CXC, worked smoothly and sounded excellent.
Dumping it all for Lyngdorf??? Downsizing is what I do with most everything in my retirement. Wonderful concept for a body that can do less and less without hurting. However audio is not one of them. Best thing I ever did in my late life is expanding my entire audio experience ...
If You And I Disagree About Audio, Who's Right? Roger Skoff tells you who to believe. You tell them Mag :)
MM vs MC Cartridges That's why I came here, to learn. Unfortunately a post like yours teaches nothing. With all due respect.
MM vs MC Cartridges So many more setting options with MC carts if you have the right phono preamp, like my PS Audio Stellar. So much so that I am in the process of going all MC. Playing MM on the Stellar is like wasting 75% of its abilities. Even so I love hard poun...
Rate my system/advise This sounds a lot like putting the cart before the horse. Set it up, listen to what you have now and go from there. Right now you are driving blind. With the cart in front of your horse. Hard to get anywhere that way.
Your experience with these power cables? No experience with any listed PC. Use all Patrick Cullen gold series.
I need a subwoofer recomendation I use dual Rythmik servo subs F12. Slightly over you price range, great range of adjustments for both music and HT. Highly recommended.

Your experience with these power cables? Sorry, wrong thread lol

Just updated my virtual system @erik_squires Of course you have many more windows than I do. I only have two 2' x 3' triple glass pane 4" thick so the sound of our rooms would be drastically different regardless of treatment. Maybe you will be fully satisfied as designed. Tha...
Just updated my virtual system The problem with the "diffusers" that are basically some cut out flat material placed on top of absorbers is they do a lot less diffusing than absorbing. They do look great but to properly diffuse you need to have diffusers that actually have mult...
Just updated my virtual system @erik_squires Nice first approach. Be ready to make some adjustments as you go. My personal experience with GIK is they pushed too much absorption for my house of stereo design. It obviously was great at taking care of resonance, but it took me ...
Has your system evolved in the past 10 years? If your system hasn't evolved in the last 10 years, you likely wouldn't be spending time here. Or you're broke. |
