Has anyone seen the new Meadowlark Swift? Cellorover, I second that - "I think we will see a resurgance of American made speakers that out perform the European products, are highyl affordable and, more important, very desireable." American speaker mfg'r are really starting to get their st...
Mods for bright speaker? Ncarv, and all thanks for the advice. I will try the Monitor Audio Bronze and if it's too bright then probably just pass on it.How about Walker Audio High Definition Links for Thiel speakers? But I've always wanted to like Thiel but except for the...
What Rags carry the most review weight??? I really like What HiFi. Their hearing must be like mine because their descriptions match what I hear in stores. Unlike Stereophile which leaves me confused and feeling like I need to spend more money. For example, the latest buzz on M-F upsamplin...
Has anyone seen the new Meadowlark Swift? Heard very briefly. Very good sound. I think with tube amps. Definitely "high end" sound quality. I would think Kestrels would give better dynamics and bass since it is bigger. Other than that Swifts might even be better.I didn't get to really giv...

Audio Physic Virgo III I demoed at two dealers and had very different results. Both had Musical Fidelity amps. First dealer used Musical Fidelity A3 CDP in a sonically treated room. III's sounded very good. Clear, dynamic sound. Pretty good kick on drums. Did not do the...
Amp play a low volumes? Speakers with less distortion will sound quiter even if they are actually playing at higher volume levels. ATC active speakers for example. Without the "noise" of distortion things sound quieter.
High Sensitvity = good transient response ? Learn something new everyday. And I thought that the covering on Brentworth's opening was the driver. I have only heard 2 SET as dealers don't carry this stuff. Sam Tellig talked with Mike Sanders re Quicksilver Mini Monos / March 2001. Page 36 I ...
High Sensitvity = good transient response ? Twl, on SET sound. I've been told they have high amounts of distortion so maybe what I've been told affects my hearing perceptions. Take "Spanish Harlem". The first time I heard on Triangle Celius and Unison SET Rebecca Pidgeon's voice sounded vag...
High Sensitvity = good transient response ? Hi twl. I heard the $7,500 Type Three-A:http://www.cadencebuilding.com/cadence/bslpix.htmlThe owner had the best Waytec SET amps and they are supposedly made especially for the Brentworths. I think they were over $8,000.The room was very big - 18 ...
