I have this subscription and find it useful when I'm just dodging in and out of the room. Every now something catches my ear and I buy it - a bit like downloading mp3s from the internet - a good sampler, but better filtered! It doesn't work for cla...
Musical Preference: US or UK?
I'm not sure of everyone's location but in my opinion, you may have a roseir view of UK music, because you are not subjected to a lot of the rubbish we get here, just as I'm sure the vice versa is also true.Whilst it seems easier with cheap media ...
Which Lamm should I add to the flock?

What song best sums up the previous year?

Which Lamm should I add to the flock?
Bryanhod et mention the cabinet thing....I really want to put a pair of 1.2 ref's in my cabinet - I have custom built the cabinet with vents in the base, semi open front and an open back, I'm thinking of adding silent fans to aid a...
Nice ideal aldavis. I'd love to help, but fear dragging your kit to the UK a bit far. I wish you luck in your venture and look forward to your results. I am genuinely interested.

Bose 901
I heard a demo of the 901 system when I was near Boston in the summer - hats off to the guys from Bose who really know how to make their stuff sound good in their demo rooms. I wanted to see how they demonstrated the product and how they had set u...
best sounding small speakers
I have a pair of Sonus Faber Concerto Home stand mounted speakers. They are warm sounding, very easy on the ear and do a great dissappearing act. They also have the benefit of being reasonably priced. They would not be well suited for high SPLs or ...
What time do you wear?
I have a Rolex GMT II and yes it does run a bit fast (1 sec / day) and I don't care a jot! I've only had it for a couple of years, and it's given me no problems - it does the multiple timezones and you change the hour hand independently to keep th...
terrible bass response / unevenness problem.
Shadorne - I agree. Speakers can be as flat as you like, but if your room isn't, your lost without correction, be it electrical, digital or mechanical/physical.A flat response gives everyone a chance. What you do with it from there is up to you an...
Minor keys are like spice and alcohol?
Thanks for all the feedback. I do not have perfect pitch (as I understand it) and struggle to "get" how a piece of music written in D Major could sound triumphant and if it were transposed into C Major or E Major, it would sound any less triumphan...
Which Patricia Barber album floats yer boat?
I currently only own companion and spend most of the time wishing she would shut up and leave me with the band! Are they attached to her or do they float with the wind?
