Nuisance tripping of AFCI circuit breaker by inrush of current when turning on amplifiers
Ps, the online forums complaining about first gen. AFCI tripping have settled down quite a bit with the second generation CAFCI versions. Last, really, ive seen power conditioners with very large toroids trip breakers, had nothing to do with AFCI

Also, check with the manufacturer.  With AFCI breakers now required in all residential circuits this should be something they are aware of.

I would definitely start with a second generation Siemens CAFCI breaker. Im not sure about your situation butI have 20 Siemens CAFCI breakers, all upgrades fron non AFCI and never had a nuisance trip.
Impedance - The most ignored and useful measurement tool
Call me petty but I am still upset.   🤣🤣🤣
My Sonus Faber Amatis have weak bass even though I'm running ML 536s--800 w/ch into 4 ohms
BTW, if your room is reasonably rectangular, I suggest examining the results from the AM Acoustic room mode simulator here.

I don't know about packing, but assuming your speakers have rear wall reinforcement and you haven't put them in a bad modal location your next option is some room treatment. In a very reflective room the speakers will sound excessively bright, al...
Overly sensitive tweeter/midrange
You know, switch seating positions with your wife. :D Seriously though, I’ve had untreated rooms create a kind of distortion effect above a certain listening level. If you two are sitting in the exact same place while evaluating it may be an acou...
soft dome versus hard dome tweeters
I want to repeat myself a little though. Tweeters don’t matter. They are the sprinkles on top of the doughnut. Midranges matter. I’m saying this a little funny, tongue in cheek, but honestly we pay far too much attention to a device that may not...
Impedance - The most ignored and useful measurement tool
@lanx0003  Well, you have taught me something new.  I've been at this a long time and just today realized there was such a thing as negative impedance.
Impedance - The most ignored and useful measurement tool
@lanx0003 Suggest you hit up the very active REW forums! but I believe that's not negative impedance, it's phase angle.  Ask in DIYaudio for help with that, but it's related to how capacititive or inductive an impedance is.  These cause the curren...
soft dome versus hard dome tweeters
Man, the implementation matters a great deal. Generally speaking, I’ve lost interest in Be tweeters and certainly the B&W diamond tweeters, however the Magico Be based tweeters are really exceptions. Among the top performers in my mind are s...

Is there extra functionaity in the Dayton piece that makes it worth it To be honest I have only used the DATS V2 and really love how well and easy it is to use, I’ve not tried the REW, but if I recall it requires you to use 2 audio channels at ...
How to get Dolby Atmos wirelessly to headphones while watching a projector - ideas?

Class A bias, speaker sensitivity, watts...?
Depends how far you are measuring at and whether your iPhone’s DB scale is reliable, but probably. Sensitivity is rated at 1 meter, so you should make sure to measure around that distance. You’d be amazed how little power most of us actually use ...
Nearfield Low-Level Listening : New Speakers or EQ? Thoughts?
EQ.  Mainly for flexibility.  I miss the Denon style variable loudness controls.
