Kuzma 4Points and Lyra carts
Thank you Raul. I was having problems finding the compliance measurement for the SoundSmith Sussurro ES.

And please let us know what you think when your 4point14 is installed and playing.I will continue to think about the 4point 9 versus the original 4point, 11”.

Ok. Next question.  What choices did you all make regarding cabling choices.? Cardas Clear? Kondo Silver? Kuzma silver plated copper?

Thanks for the replies.  I especially look forward to @herman report after his time with the Mørch. It’s a great arm but will not be surprised if the Kuzma does even better. My table will do best with the 212mm mounting distance of the 4point and 4...
Refurbish Fidelity Research Tonearms
I think Richard Mak makes a very compelling argument for refurbishing the FR-64S or FR-66S aged arms.  He also offers the mod to the arms that will allow for one tonearm cable from cartridge pins to RCA plugs. The later is more controversial as is...
How to isolate turntable from footstep shake or vibration
I do not use a suspended turntable but I have had successful isolation using an HRS platform (S level) and a Vibraplane. They both work well independently and even better together.  Obviously, I would try some simple footers first as you could end...

Sounds like it was a worthwhile refurb.  Enjoy your "new" arm.
I had a few drinks and bought some speakers, I've now sobered up
And I'm happy that there are audionerds like you and me that listen to interesting music, not just the typical hifi demo discs. They are similar speaker cables.  I use William Tells and have listened to the Robin Hoods too.  Both are probably bett...

I have the AAA vinyl of Loveless and it is wonderful.  Using familiar recordings is a great way to gauge changes in your systems sound. I think I was trying to subtly advocate for recordings that might be a better way to hear the improvements in y...

Thanks Syntax!  Let us know what you think after listening with the new arm.  What differences are you hearing?

Loveless might be a great way to break in those speakers!  Not hifi (I believe Kevin Shields had the band perform inside a Hoover to get the right sound) but what a great record. If you are still on the fence after 500 hours, consider really worki...
Refurbish Fidelity Research Tonearms
Syntax.  Please let us know what you think after your arm is cleaned and repaired. The Audiomagik site suggests that all FR-66/64 arms need degreasing, cleaning and fresh lubrication to sound as new due to disintigration of the original bearing gr...
Suggestions to upgrade from Lyra Delos
I have lots of experience with the Audiomods arm although I am currently not using one.  It is a great arm and should work great with the Delos.  I think you can tweak the setup parameters to get at what you may be missing but I also thinking you ...
Met a great dealer in Milwaukee last week
I couldn't agree more with your assessment @ctsooner.  Jon is a pleasure and has great taste in music as well. My mom grew up about three block from his shop in Wauwatosa and my grandmother lived on North Avenue. I'll definitely be visiting Ultra ...
Vandersteen updates and amplifiers
@ctsooner Nice!  Did you listen to the Kento or the Quatro?
