Proac Response D 48/Tannoy Kensington lowrideris, have you heard the newer Proacs? Specifically the D48 the OP is inquiring about in comparison to the Kensington?
Proac Response D 48/Tannoy Kensington randyhat, you mentioned the Proac was more in your face and etched. Was it in a hard, shouting, irritating way in general terms or just relative to the Vandersteen?
Proac Response D 48/Tannoy Kensington Well, don't leave us in suspense, what direction are you leaning? :-)
Looking for a Speaker Recommnedation John is great to work with, he will find the right fit for you.
Proac Response D 48/Tannoy Kensington itzhak1969, according to the Tone Audio review your amp should be fine, they are relatively easy to drive. I will be using McIntosh with my D48R as well, the 452, plenty of power there.
Proac Response D 48/Tannoy Kensington If looks enter the equation at all, I think the Proac D48 have a better WAF. As for everything else, akg_ca covered it. I have the D48 on order, and yes I bought it blind.
Vandersteen this hobby would be a lot easier if the recordings were better. That is the main issue a lot of times, our expensive gear makes some of our favorite music sound like crap. I don't get how they could make something like Dark Side of the Moon soun...
Proac Response D40R or D48R 500 is long time to wait for something to break in all the way. Hopefully it will sound good early one even though it won't have enough time on them.
ProAc 1 SC vs. ProAc D1 and yet this review says Spendor's edge towards the leaner, brighter side of neutral. I guess it would depend on several variables. http://www.whathifi.com/spendor/d7/review#k2F7yiTU2JCo8lkQ.99
ProAc 1 SC vs. ProAc D1 with associated gear I mean.
ProAc 1 SC vs. ProAc D1 hmm, I thought Proac had a rep for being user friendly to work with?
Proac Response D40R or D48R oh yeah, it looks like you were advising some one else to look into the newer version of the D30. My bad. As for mine, it will probably be 3 or 4 weeks. Then there is burn in. Is break in pretty lengthy with the D48R?By the way, does the D48R...
Proac Response D40R or D48R itzhak1969, I pulled the trigger on the D48s, but I won't be able to give you impressions because it won't be here for a few weeks (ordered silk white, takes awhile). Sounds like you are thinking about the D30SR anyway. Good luck in your search.
Proac Response D40R or D48R cmach, how big is your room?
Proac Response D40R or D48R Can you get the 48s in the Dome Tweeters? |
