Magico A3 or A1+Sub Normally I am a fan of full range speakers that don’t need subs. But with the speakers so close to room boundaries, monitors + subs might be a better fit. Your room has lots of glass and flat untreated surfaces. Any speakers you settle on will ben...
Magico A3 or A1+Sub If your plan is to position the speakers as they are in that photo, it’s a waste of any high quality speaker. Open floor plan rooms are a disaster anyway. Add placing the speakers so close to the wall, and one in the corner, and the situation gets...
Stand Mount Speakers for Classic Rock that sound alive at lower volumes ? I would suggest a pair of klipsch heresy iv or forte iv speakers. Both are good in small rooms and are excellent with rock.
Open baffle speakers so base is not really an issue. That’s really cool. One question, how is the bass?
Room with glass windows as a walls. @rodman99999 is correct. Also, the use of thick area rugs and overstuffed furniture helps. Anything to absorb some of the echo that will be generated in that room.
Mofi Sourcepoint 888? I’ve never heard that before. That’s a lot of moolah for a speaker that can’t crank when needed.
Do power bricks break in? @jasonbourne71 is correct. Don’t confuse gain and power.
Mofi Sourcepoint 888? Magico A5s wouldn’t play loud? Please expand on this.
Magico speakers too clinical and fatiguing? @grislybutter You may like the sound of your system, and that’s a good thing. But don’t fool yourself into believing it performs at a level of one consisting of high(er) quality components. I’m not saying $$ is always the answer, but most of th...
??? How Much Would You Spend ??? There doesn't have to be a specific price tag for a given pair of speakers. You could spend 10K on an amp for those speakers and a 5K amp might outperform it. There are too many variables to give a cookie cutter answer to this one.
Open baffle speakers @bache You are just being obtuse now. You are on some weird mission to denigrate OB speakers for some unknown (not really) reason. I understand how to take measurements with a Radio Shack SPL meter and test tones. And I know all about the co...
Open baffle speakers @ozzy62 Are you measure or just listen ?? Both...
Open baffle speakers agree for 100% to produce bass 30 Hz baffle size must be HUGE Disagree. The Spatial Audio X3 with it’s powered 15" woofer could easily reach into the mid 20s with a baffle width of about 18". For all it’s other shortcomings, bass response and q...
New Speakers under consideration - but I’m afraid @grislybutter If one reads the specifics the OP is looking for, then "X" might be a good fit. Even if the person suggesting it owns "X". Now suggesting "X" only because you own it and love it, is not helpful. If I say I want a speaker that will...
