The Music Room Sounds like they don't want your cable. Better off to list it on US Audiomart or Audiogon, as I'd expect you to get a better price vs. selling to a reseller.
Harbeth 40.2 OR Spendor Classic 100 OR ?? I'm on my second stint with Harbeth 40.1's. I had my first pair of 40.1's about seven years ago and regrettably sold them to try a pair of Daedalus Ulysses. Daedalus cabinetry top notch and Lou Hinckley (Daedalus owner) is a very accommodating...
"New" Western Electric wire Grannyring,Are you still selling Dueland speaker cables? If yes, do you have a website for your product offerings?
KEF blades 2 or Dynaudio C4? xti16... yes my C2's and C4's where the original version.
KEF blades 2 or Dynaudio C4? I've owned C2's an C4's. Both require higher volume to sound their best... so I'd take Dynaudio out of consideration if you prefer listening at low volume. I moved on to Harbeth M-40.1's and never looked back. The 40.1's perform well at low to...
Harbeth 40.1 vs Sonus Faber Olympia III There's a like new pair of 40.1's listed for only $6,900. That's a steal. You'd be hard pressed to find a better full range speaker for that price.
Harbeth 40.1 vs Sonus Faber Olympia III I agree with djfst that the 40.1’s don’t need a lot of power. I’ve driven mine with as little as 32 wpc tube amp (VAC 30/30). You ARC Ref 75 SE will be fine. I'm currently using a Music Reference RM9 MK2 EL34 based tube amp rated at 125 wpc.
Harbeth 40.1 vs Sonus Faber Olympia III I owned the 40.1's about 8 years ago and foolishly sold them to try something "different". Now I'm on my second pair of 40.1's after learning my lesson. Your room is similar to mine, so you should have no problems. They sound great with solid...
Tube vendor recommendations? Tube Audio Store (RAM tubes) and Brent Jessee. Not a fan of Upscale Audio for reasons previously mentioned. Vintage Tube Services has excellent quality tubes, but you must be willing to wait several weeks to get your tubes.
Aesthetic preamp I've owned a Calypso and currently own the Calypso Signature. Both units have provided many years of trouble free musical bliss.
McIntosh MC 275 Mark VI I've owned both MC275 MKV and Harbeth SHL5's, although not together. The MC275 MKV was one of my top 5 favorite amps. Highly recommended. I think pairing the Harbeth's with the MKV and C-2300 would be a very nice combo. More than enough powe...
Black Cat Speaker Cables Changed my mind. I'm keeping the Silverstar. If anyone needs a 1.23 meter Veloce, shoot me a pm.
Black Cat Speaker Cables I agree with jl35... both cables are similar with the edge going to the Silverstar. The Silverstar has less grain and is more refined. I'm keeping the Veloce, because I needed the longer cable, so my 1/2 meter Silverstar is available, unless so...
System Rebuild communique1,My current room is 14' wide x 26' long x 7.5' high. In my previous stint with 40.1's my room was 16' x 20' x 7'. Both rooms where finished basements and had modest room treatments from GIK.
System Rebuild Based upon your criteria, Harbeth M-40.1's are a great choice. I owned them about 9 years ago and foolishly sold them to try something different. I bought another pair about 3 years ago and they are here to stay. They'll sound great with your... |
