Your thoughts on best audiophile speakers in $10,000 neighborhood?
I like the sound of the big PSB's. Careful selection of cabling will be required, but that is true with all set-ups.
Accuphase Experiences
I bought a C-47 phono preamp, new, and was surprised at the non-existent noise floor. It is as quiet as a tomb. It also took a long time to break in.  It works well and it doesn't require a computer science degree to operate it. Everything is well...
Belles preamplifiers -- experiences at different levels?
LA-01's are not often found any more. People who have them know what they have. If you see one don't hesitate.
Belles preamplifiers -- experiences at different levels?
I ran a Belles 28A Reference preamplifier with a Van Alstine modified Hafler amplifier and the combination was wonderful. I replaced the 28A with a Belles VT-01 version 2 tube hybrid model coupled with an Accuphase C-47 phono preamplifier and it w...
Do I upgrade my cartridge or my turntable
Stylus cleaner, the Audio Technica AT 607a stylus brush and fluid works great, it dries quickly,  and, it is inexpensive. Cartridge demagnetizing. It works with moving coil cartridges. It works so well it has to be seen to be believed. Do not dema...
Speaker Spikes - Working Principle
Spikes result in a massive reduction in standing wave energy. My first speakers were Dahlquist DQ-10's  and when I spiked them they really stated to shine. The lower midrange and upper bass cleaned up immensely.
Lowest priced MC thats better than a Premium MM?
The Audio Technica  AT 33SA is a fine cartridge for top shelf moving magnet money. A top shelf moving magnet is a fine sounding cartridge in its own right. Use of a top shelf moving magnet cartridge is not like suffering in a gulag.

Speakers 10 years old or older that can compete with todays best,
My first speakers looked exactly like that in yogiboy's post. They needed power to be happy, but they were excellent.
cleaning gritty surface noise on LPs
When cleaning records a rinse is always required after any cleaning. An often over looked verity in record cleaning.
Speakers - Your "Safest" Choice
The Yamaha NS5000 monitor with stands are superb and don't need gobs of power to drive them well. a 125 wpc amplifier will not drive a lot of very good but power hungry speakers.
Rega planar 3 (50th Anniversary)
For a couple more dollars you can get the P6 which is a better unit. I would recommend that route.
Speakers 10 years old or older that can compete with todays best,
When I first heard of the Sony SS-AR-1 I knew I should investigate. They were special.
Quality of Sirius XM
It reminds me of AM stereo.
