Class D Ncore Atsah in the house
WHAT HAPPENED TO THIS THREAD? THIS TECH SHOULD BE FRONT AND CENTER
Have Passive Preamps Finally Come of Age?
I just found this out reading my Hattor is a review. Scratching my head as George said my Hattor is not compatible impedance wise The guy responsible for the Khozmo passive also makes an upmarket version (ed Hattor) with super-duper resistors, ba...
Core Power Technologies
I started with the 300 just for my pre and Oppo 105. It blew away my PS Audio Premier Power Plant. I then upgraded to the 1200 and uggedd 4 amps + pre and Oppo, ut that was a touch too much,  so I got the 1800 and lived happily ever after

Very Cool. I thought Tortuga offered a buffer

ozzy To add to Lak's comments. We beta testers went through a lot testing Deep Core versions 1-2. The first one I had caught fire, the 2nd one blew SR Blue fuses etc, and I know droleg's damaged his other equipment. I know we can never get full...
Have Passive Preamps Finally Come of Age?
Thanks George. While the combo sounds vg, there is something eating at me. Not sure whether it's the amps or the speakers. I own EP  KCIIs, but bought a pair  of demo EP 3.0s Alas, there have been weird issues involved in them being delivered. I h...
How much do I need to spend to get a preamp that sounds better than no preamp?
this wonderful pre was just listed. I had one over a decade ago. Fully balanced with phono, but old school- no remotehttps://www.audiogon.com/listings/lis9100g-klyne-audio-arts-7lx-3-5-solid-state
Have Passive Preamps Finally Come of Age?
Thanks, I wasn't asking for myself as my Hattor Passive Pre is quite magical with my class D amps. But being such a clear window I think it exposed that my speakers or amps (or both) are not up to it. My EP KC IIs sound fantastic until pushed in m...

Spatial Audio M4 Turbo S. Is its design competitive with other baffleless speakers?
My buddy has a pair of KC IIs in a small apartment and they sound great They're barely 42" tall from the bottom of their bases, without iso devices, which I highly recommend. Having owned Magnepan 3.5Rs and Accoustat 2 + 2s , the KCIIs are a super...
best amp platform/stand under VAC Renaissance 30/30 300b amp?
I have owned various cones (including ceramic), Mapleshade Isos (single and double), Walker Audio Brass Cones with nipples, Stillpoints with Risers,  none compare to Machina Dynamic HD Springs, which isolate vibrations in all 3 dimensions, AND the...
Carver Amazing Line Source Speakers
Having owned Accoustat 2 + 2s and Magnepan 3.5Rs  (both of which I consider room dividers)  and.having been involved with Nearfield Acoustics Pipedreams (I avd their $10K introductory speaker), as well as the early prototypes of Scaena Loudspeaker...
First Foray into XLR
The first thing to be skeptical of is manufacturers who install XLR I/Os, but their component/s ae not balanced internally. How is one to tell anything in tht case? Reviewers who are tasked with reviewing actual XLR kit seldom have differentially ...
what can reasonably be expected of a seller?
Here's a hot tip that I learned the hard way: the ideal shipping choice is for the BUYER to provide a pickup slip. Why, you ask?In case of damage or loss, ONLY the SHIPPER is responsible to deal with the insurance side. Now, imagine that the selle...
Spatial Audio M4 Turbo S. Is its design competitive with other baffleless speakers?
As I read further into the review, I agree with the additional complexity of DSP: the KC11s are passive, and do not require \ biamping (but you can if you desire).FYI, I find speakers, especially baffless ones, sound best with zero toe in
