Can a power cord increase the resolution of an Class D (SMPS) amp by more than 5% ?
I m using WireWorld power cords. He calls them PowerConditioners. They absolutely work, but how much better depends on your system

Sorry erik! Yes it was meant for you.213runnin. I started with the P 3 > then the P5 2.1 for the separate bass management circuit, which apparently does not interface with powered subs inputs. My plan all along was to eventually own a JC 2, but...
How much do I need to spend to get a preamp that sounds better than no preamp?
I installed a Hattor XLR late Friday. It took about an hour to begin sounding good, and maybe just now has hit its sweet spot. It certainly  solved most of the problems driving the 105 direct. It has a lot more VC control, in addition to a signifi...

Another thing I did after IC and PC swap was to raise both the H and its power supply up on Machina Dynamica springs. Anther positive step that was instantly heard. These inexpensive iso/vib control devices are the real deal

eric, you may be confused as to which Parasound is the worst. My first was the P 3: the P5 was clearly way above it, but nothing like the Hattor. From there, the only 2 channel upgrade would be  the JC 2 @ $4K well out of my budget, even usedWe ten...
Have Passive Preamps Finally Come of Age?
Now that Ive heard the Hattor warmed up, I agree totally that the P 5 is way overpriced, but it s price includes dealer margins: the Hattor does not, so while they are virtually the same MSRP, the Hattor has no frills and significantly better part...
How much do I need to spend to get a preamp that sounds better than no preamp?
Oppo Tech, et alwhen I come off full volume on tmy 105 either the bits are dropping, or the VC is too sensitive as the result is loss of damn near everything. I am hoping that the Hattor will solve that problem, and it is a problemAs to the extra ...
Best balanced linestage/preamp for $4000 or less ???
oem, I expect you'll be very happyIn the past I have had all tube systems cryoed tubes, all kit differentially balanced. zzwhen you get up into JC 2 territory, I think the differences are slight, but no tubes to worry over, or wait to warm up, or ...
Best balanced linestage/preamp for $4000 or less ???
what a difference 2 weeks makes. I am in the process of reacquainting myself with newest passivesWish i could afford the best Tortuga ($2700), which appears to be all anyone could want in a preamp. Had I investigated them further I would have gott...
Best balanced linestage/preamp for $4000 or less ???
My dream for several years was to get a Parasound JC 2, but @ 4K it is out of my foreseeable budget. I was reading a passive preamp thread, which moved me to use the XLR outs from my Oppo 105 direct to my amps. fortunately, no impedance issues and...
