Burson DAC

I still have a soft spot for the old Burson DACs, from back when their philosophy was all about discrete circuit designs and beefy linear power supplies. The newer stuff isn't bad at all but doesn't really move me in the same way. Definitely feels bass shy in my system.

That is how the RME ADI 2 with sabre chip sounded to me. So Burson is not like Benchmark DAC3-HGC which also uses the sabre chip but is not so sweetly voiced and has more powerful bass.

I have.From the Conductor 3 Performance up to the Conductor 3 Reference...They are beautifully crafted & sweetly voiced but IMO just a touch base lite compared to some models from other manufacturers using a built in toroidal power supply like an Audio GD R28 NOS compared to Bursons wall warts
