Dan D'Agostino S350 vs Luxman M-10X

Looking for opinion to drive Wilson Audio Alexia V.  Dan D'Agostino S350 vs Luxman M-10X

I've listened to both and they are different enough to need you to listen. Both are excellent. but I would go for the luxman because it has better detail restitution and it sounds subjectively faster.

Mind you, I listened to them driving Goebel, Magicos, and Aperturas -- not your speakers.

Again: try before you buy, it's worth it in this case!

I've not heard the M-10x, but I have heard Luxman amps and D'Agostinos and to my ear they were a lot more alike than different with Wilsons.

I mean, one is $45k and the other less than half that. These aren’t really comps.

My bad - thought you were asking about new Momentum Stereo. I wouldn’t go progression at all though. Doesn’t have the magic.

The Luxman is much cheaper ,it’s not as well made ,to the exceptional RR standard but still much better then most. if money is no object the D’A is a work of precision and art .the Luxman is still excellent by any standard, it comes down to $$ .

For the Alexia, between these two, I’d go with the Boulder 1160. Or at least that’s what I have for my Alexia II and it’s a match made in heaven.

Luxman off course ! D’Agostino is 90% Krell.  À lot of money, and not my cup of tea. I prefer tubes !

Hegel H30A might be a great alternative. I use Hegel 590 with my Sasha DAW, I love the synergy. You can start with one H30A as stereo, you may add another one later to use as mono amp. They are very flexible, excellent reviews as well.

I'm a Luxman fanboy myself, but I would never ever compare D'Agostino to the original krell sound, at all.  Haven't heard modern krell in forever.

Ok it seems like everyone is in agreement that McIntosh won't bring out the best of a Wilson speaker like this.
