The McIntosh factory has a 6 month wait time on most items due to increased business. Perhaps there are a lot of orders for their new lightbox.

I waited 6 months for a C2700 this year. so relax. 

It’s worth the wait….

Months ago I read that McIntosh was so slammed with orders that they were starting the process of building a new building to add to the factory in Binghamton.  It's a nice problem to have, especially since the McIntosh company has been purchased by a private equity firm...making it much more likely that the firm does good things for McIntosh, instead of sucking the cash from the company, like so many PE firms do after they overtake a company.

@ejr1953, they are also hiring 50 more employees (20 have already been hired) to a good paying job with good benefits. How many high end manufacturers are doing that?  McIntosh sells more product in a month than most other high end companies sell in a year. Let the McIntosh haters hate🙂

Nice to see them making the hires. Will take months to train those folks and get them up to speed. 

@stereo5 I hear you about the McIntosh haters...my McIntosh amp and preamp match up really well with the rest of my system, never fails to put a smile on my face!
