Recommendation Amplifier to match with Shindo Aurieges for Devore Fidelity Nines

Hi Audiogoners,
I am having the combo Shindo Aurieges, Montille EL84 with the Nines and I would like to get some feed back from experience owners of Shindo and Devore on choosing the match amp for the Aurieges to run with the Devore. I cannot afford the more expensive Shindo, hence the question. Please let me know of any other amp which can match with the Shindo preamp I am having and have enough power to drive my speakers.
I am listening to all kind of music from Classical to Heavy metal.
Thanks,
Calvin

I didn’t have an MM cartridge to try with the Shindo Aurieges MM input so I can’t compare the two.
@pstores @diggler.
Thank you for your response, but my system has changed since last year.
I think a Leben would also be a good choice. The CS-600 should offer plenty of power and is a wonderful sounding amplifier actually an integrated with a pre-in .

I would be interested in the Montille and I will also be selling a pair of pristine O/96s when I complete my horn build in August. A couple things to consider.

Good luck with the system. I'm guessing it would sound pretty great as-is but I understand system goals as much as anyone.

Best,
Keith
Thanks,
That’s what I am thinking about now. But I think the lowest used price for the Montrachet was 5500.

+1 the Shindo system is a system and each part adds to the whole in a synergistic way

The Shindo magic comes from a system approach. By using a different amp you lose out on some of the flavor it has to offer, that's not to say there haven't been some nice amps already recommended. My 2 cents -
coming from a guy who has a Montrachet and (used to) have the O96's. Hold out for a used Montrachet which can be had for $4-5k. 40 watts is plenty to drive those 10 ohm/96 imp beauties.
I heard one of the Shindo preamps (can't recall which) in to CJ 70/140 series of amps. I believe LPS70/LPM 140. These came after Premier 11, 12, 8..... and directly after the Premier 140. I was quite impressed. While it won't have quite the Shindo sound, I would like to hear this combo in to Gibbons.
I think you picked the best solution, but another thought would be to get the Devore O 96 and keep your amp. The additional efficiency might be enough to get the volume you want.

I have used the combo for more than two years. As your all opinions so far:
1. Go with LM, more power but not the same as Shindo.
2. Atma Sphere M60s. Over my budget.
3. CJ will fit my budget but huge downgrade.
I will keep the conbo for a while and wait for a chace to upgrade to a real Shindo like Montrachet.
Thanks gents. I appreciate your inputs.

Have you tried using your Montille with the Devores yet? I would think the Montille would drive them just fine for the most part in a small to medium sized room. And I had the c-j premier 11A once upon a time it would be a huge downgrade in sound quality over what you have now.
That speaker is very friendly to tubes, but you do need a bit of power. Our M-60s drive them quite well; so you have a wide range of tube amps to work with!
The Line Magnetic amps will sound good but they will not have quite the Shindo sound. Do you just need more power?
A Dennis Had triode…there have been a few on Ebay in recent months (after a little break), and I always wonder why they aren't purchased immediately by somebody. Simply hand made world class excellence that stands up to any single ended amp anywhere.
I think you should be able to find something used from Line Magnetic in your price range. I have heard the Devore/LM pairing fairly often sounding very good primarily with the Devore O 96
If you can't afford a Shindo I think the next best choice would be Line Magnetic. What is your budget?
