Virginia Audiophiles - I Need Guidance

Within about an hour to an hour and a half drive ther are two very good stores. Deja-Vu Audio in Mclean and Gifted Listener Audio in Centreville. Deja-Vu specializes in tubes and analog, Too many brands to list, and Gifted Listener is a Levinson, Linn, and Thiel dealer among others. Both provide excellent service and are super friendly. A good dealer in Richmond VA is Tim Harrison / Audio Art. Tim has been in business over 25 years, is very knowledgable of the high end, and works by appointment only. He has an excellent listening room and will set up exactly what you want to listen to. Highly recommended.

I live in Fredericksburg also and work in DC via train. I bought a used preamp from Deja Vu for a smokin deal but they seem to be very SET and Horn oriented from what I saw in the store. The place is hard to find if you are not from the area. They were cool about guiding me in.

If you don't mind the drive you can go to UpTown Audio in Roanoke, VA. They have used gear and do some trading from time to time. Ask for Bill.
