I don't remember much, but I remember......

Not sure about you guys but it seems to me that things are getting a little tense here again and we need to have a little bit of fun! I was enjoying an evening of listening to my rig and then I saw it...my first CD(sorry guys too young for LP's!). I remember everything about the day I got it, the weather, the time, where it was purchase, even the price! The CD was U2's "Achtung Baby" I put the CD in(I have not listened to it in years)and was brought back to a time not too long ago when things seemed.....well, simpler. Then I got to think what a profound impact that one event had on my life, the joy of music. Does anyone else remember there first CD or LP? did it have as much of an impact on you as mine had on me?

First record was a Stones 45...Ruby Tuesday on one side and
Let's Spend the Night Together on the flip. First CD was
Flim and the BB's Tricyle...I was a dedicated 'phile by then
and the sound on my new $150 Magnavox CD player blew me away...at the time. I still have that CDP somewhere maybe

Motley Crue "Decade of Decadence" CD through a pair of Cerwin-Vega D-1's and a JVC receiver (1st of the titanium series) was one of the first. Its kind of stupid now but...

Tim, I can't even remember where I parked this morning, but I always appreciate your ability to have fun and look at life the way that you do!
All I do remember is that it was old, heavy, played at 33 RPM's and it was probably something like "Snow White and Rose Red", not music, but one of my first records that was my very own. Yer pal - angela

My first record was a 45 - Elvis Presley's "Hound Dog" (around 1957). My first LP was The Platters "Great Pretender" (around 1960). Joel
