Tekton Double Impacts

Anybody out there heard these??

I have dedicated audio room 14.5x20.5x9 ft.  Currently have Marantz Reference CD/Intergrated paired to Magnepan 1.7's with REL T-7 subs.  For the vast majority of music I love this system.  The only nit pick is that it is lacking/limited in covering say below 35 hz or so.  For the first time actually buzzed the panel with an organ sacd. Bummer.  Thought of upgrading subs to rythmicks but then I will need to high pass the 1.7's.  Really don't want to deal with that approach.

Enter the Double Impacts.  Many interesting things here.  Would certainly have a different set of strengths here.  Dynamics, claimed bottom octave coverage in one package, suspect a good match to current electronics.

I've read all the threads here so we do not need to rehash that.  Just wondering if others out there have FIRST HAND experience with these or other Tekton speakers

Thanks.

Hi Musikmann,
Yes as I acknowledged people do have certain expectations as the cost rises.   My perspective is the major  justification for more expensive parts is they will provide improved sound quality. Believe me, I am an advocate of high quality part utilization "if" it means better sound  (and reliability). If Eric gets superb sound with the SE's chosen drivers I say more power to him 😊.

As far as cosmetics are concerned I do appreciate attractive and elegant audio components but recognize the truly subjective nature of taste.

@charles1dad ,
are all the tweeters revelators or just the center one. Just curious.
Musikman,
I'll make you a great deal on them......10% off retail and local pick up only. Still interested? Lol. Seriously though I might sell them some day as the wife won't be thrilled having them back in the family room, but I want to enjoy them with some SS amps for a while......with hopes she will get used them :)

While the drivers in the SE's aren't the Scanspeak drivers some were hoping for, they are upgraded......along with the crossovers, cabinets and wiring. Aesthetically they aren't for everyone but when painted in a high gloss finish I think they look quite nice.  From those listening to them last week the consensus was that the SE's take all of the good qualities of the DI's and build upon them with better and more bass, more refinement and silkier mids. Making a few improvements to the DI's is no small feat and for another $2300 more than the DI's with the upgrade package and high gloss paint, I feel they will be well worth it but can understand those that want even more.
Mofojo,
To clarify I don't own the Double Impacts.  I was referring to the Coincident Total Eclipse II speakers I have.  I was just giving an example of speakers that have Scanspeak drivers due to them being the topic of recent posts.
