Zu Soul Superfly

I just ordered a pair of the new Zu speakers on a whim. I was going to wait for information, but the fact that they threw in the free superfly upgrades to the first 30 people got me.

From a similar thread it sounds like some of you guys have heard the speaker despite information only being released today. I'm wondering what you can share about it?

Also, I am really hoping it works with a Firstwatt F1 amplifier. Can anyone comment as to that? I know the Druid's and Essences worked OK.

Don't you love when blank statements are made about a unit that is not thought out.

This is HI-FI sounding and this is not. There are 10 different factors in play for the final sound and not just one unit. To say the Essence is Hi Fi sounding is .........

Hi Glory,

You are quite for using such generalising terms.
IMO HiFi sounding is something that sounds accurate and detailed but is not engaging.

LOL!

I just got email from Zu who say standard Zu Soul pricing is $1800!

So, what is it? $1500? $1400? $1800?

what a complete mess.
Zanon,

There really isn't anything confusing about it... I think you should re-read a little more carefully.

$1800 is msrp. Pre-orders are discounted to $1500 for new Zu customers and to $1400 for existing Zu customers.
Are these the same speakers that were $999 recently? was taht a pre-order or a per-pre-order?

and i could have swong the $999 price was discount for original $1500 MSRP.

I cannot wait to see how Soul (maybe superfly, maybe not superfly) pricing evolves!
