It looks like the sale only applies to the old HDMI 2.0 cables. The new and improved HDMI 2.1 cables (backward compatible) are capable of 48Gbps, not discounted. The AudioQuest Pearl is the least expensive 48Gbps cable HDMI cable. HDMI 2.1 is now used on the new PS5 and Xbox Series X consoles, capable of 4k @ 120Hz. HDMI is finally catching up to DisplayPort's refresh rate capabilities. Even though HDMI 2.1 is new and few displays support its new features, I would purchase the HDMI 2.1 cable to reduce the system bottlenecks to the source and monitor/TV. |
