My system is all McIntosh and I went with Morrow Cable throughout. I use their mid priced cables and they sound superb to me. My power cables are DIY using Furutech components. I had a lot of fun making my own. FWIW.
Cables recommendation
Hello everyone,
I currently own 803D3, C2700 pre and MC462 amp. I also have an Oppo 105D and Denon X4700 that power the surround speaker. I’m now in the look for cables to fire this system up the best I can but to keep the spending reasonable. I currently do not have any cables.
I’ll appreciate everyone’s opinion and suggestion on cable speakers, power cables, interconnects from 2700 to 462 and other cables I should buy to get the most out of this system. I know many have similar systems as this one and would love to hear your recommendations.
Another important thing to note is that I do not have a streamer and thought to use the Oppo for this reason (maybe connect it to DA2 DAC of the C2700?) or maybe get a Sonus streamer.

Good grief. Have you seen any of the photos of the inside of these total junk pretend cables - - or, reports of people complaining how poorly they sound? These counterfeits are nothing close to the genuine articles. Not slow annealed high quality oxygen free pure copper, nor dielectrics. Complete garbage designs. People send in copies to Cardas to authenticate fakes passed off as the real deal when they suspect they’ve been ripped off by con artists and poor sounding cables. Save your $ and better off to buy "any" of the authentic cables already mentioned.

I am with those that recommend the purchase of budget (think used) cables to set up your system. Position system within room for best sonics.Then after becoming acquainted with your system think about switching out cables. Blue Jeans is a good place to start. Check out a thread here on AG concerning cables that can be bought direct from manufacturer. |
