Socket savers for tube amps and preamps

So I purchased some socket savers for my pre-amp many months ago. I have a Schiit Freya Plus and because the sockets are about 1/2 inch down inside the casing I had purchased the socket savers to bring the base insertion point up level with the top casing of the amp. It was a recommendation because I swap NOS tubes periodically and it’s not always good to put pressure on old glass, better to handle tubes by the base. I developed a hum and thought? it might be a bad tube but low and behold the socket saver cracked and broke at the key way. Lol

Does anyone in tube world know where I can buy quality tube socket savers? Does anyone use these? BTW the hum is gone now that the broken key way has been removed. Who knew?

Good idea. Some socket designs are very suspect for surviving long term. Sockets soldered on thin circuit boards with little support being one issue.

Tubemonger had nice ones (just checked and they are sold out).

Searched Belton (my TV7 tube tester has old Belton savers) and came up with this hybrid.
