Why is it that every time, lately, that I'm interested in a thread...

... a couple days later it gets removed by the moderators? How bad can a thread be to deserve being REMOVED?

I may have missed something but... I'm confused!

Rubbish posts need deletion, especially rude and offensive ones.

But why delete the whole thread?

Suggests the moderators are too lazy to read each post.

It's just as easy to be helpful or skip a topic if one feels compelled to be nasty or have fun stroking one's own ego by saying something against forum etiquette and rules. The problems rests with good judgment and not choosing to be a complete donkey arse. IMHO

Country of origin and support should come into almost all audio equipment discussions unless every buyer doesn’t mind waiting months to send/receive back replacement units/parts/tech support in their native language if something goes wrong. Not just time but shipping costs, reliability concerns, etc. as well. If you are not embarrassed to say the unit was made in USA, Canada, Europe, why should it be a bad word if you say it was made in China? Junk or not. If audio was made in USA using slave labor I wouldn’t buy it either and I would tell everyone I know that slaves are working on the assembly line, making Slaveware. It’s politicians that have made "politics" a bad word, not Audiogon posters, although some go over the top once in awhile.

I say leave ALL posts and threads up. Each morning I see all these deleted posts and wonder what they were. They are just words people and everyone here is of age to ignore whatever offends them. Geez
