I once drove from South Jersey to a small high end store in Rochester NY years ago to buy a beautiful pair of Spendor 9/1 speakers. That was about 9 hours.

I bought a pair of Allison Model Two's from a discount furniture store.

No idea why they had the speakers, but they were cheap and a huge improvement on what I was using at the time.

On a bus in Italy going from the cruise ship to Pisa, I used my iPhone to buy a Unico CD player from Upscale Audio.
