Music reproduction is art

...or "beerholder" if that’s the case! 

That's only when the lights come on in the bar at 2 am....

If you look around it’s pretty obvious that people like what they like, not what’s “right”. 

You could compare music reproduction to photorealism in painting. Even within that genre there is variance between artists in their approach and abilities. 

While I agree that there's no absolute "right" or "wrong," I do not think music reproduction is art. Creating music can be art. Reproducing it is science. To the extent that judgment and experience improve the result, that's really a craft, not art.

I agree. The purpose of hi-end audio is recreating the original music. It is a short of science that can’t recreating it.

At least, there is a new technology that a microphone sounds like a real human voice without bad noises (veil, glare, brightness). alex/WTA
