Streamer & DAC under $1000?

The new Node Icon fits the bill nicely according to reviews. $999.00. Super easy to use Blue O/S software, and the option of course to eventually use an even better DAC if that is in your plans. Can be used as a preamp, having volume control and a subwoofer output. Has the best power supply Bluesound has ever put into a streamer.  No need to add an LPS. Good integration with most streaming services. Worth a look and a listen. 

Upscale audio has the Eversolo DMP-A6 Streaming DAC On-Sale right now for $769. I think this is a great price for what you get and would be hard to beat for the money. I have the Master Edition of this for my bedroom system and its pretty good.

Has analog outputs and inputs. Optical, Coax out. Also Bluetooth input, LAN connection.

Quite the unit  

if the onboard DAC is not suitable to one’s tastes, spend the money saved on a separate DAC.

As a current BlueSound user (N130) with external power supply and DAC, if I was looking for a one box solution for ~$1K I'd probably buy the ICON.

I would go with Bluesound Icon.
