sources for DIY speaker cables

I'm looking for sources to buy DIY cable accessories. Plugs, shrink tubing, ends etc. Thanks in advance

@ghdprentice

2008 Stereophile just for fun they added some wire they bought from Home Depot... a 10 guage 3 conductor extension cord.

It was a 14-3 extension cord...orange with a black stripe.  I have a pair somewhere.

@artemus_5... Yes, in very tasteful orange and black. I must have got the 10 from what is currently recommended for direct lines. I remember looking a lot for the thicker gauge... most were I guess 16?

I took a quick search on Home Depot... There are lots of 12/3 and 10/3 extension cords available. Worth a try for those doing DIY.

Thanks for the help. I am also looking for what they call pants splitter. Not the plastic but the metal ones that the cable goes in one end and the two or four in bi-wire come out the other end ultimately with spades or bananas on the end

I went with DH Labs Q10, four wire silver plated.

DH Labs connectors.

To my ears, just as good as Acoustic Zen Satori.

Parts Connexion has a variety of high end cables and plugs but I ended up using all silver plated Viborg from Amazon and Mogami from a variety of sources. I think I got the thin Mogami sound runner 2 conductor speaker cables from Parts Express and MarkerTek for the 4 conductor speaker cable.

Replaced all my other high end cables easily.

My experience with silver plated speaker cable is that it takes a while to break in and then sounds exactly like plain copper.  OTOH, I use Parts Express branded solid silver / shielded and balanced conductors for my most important ICs.
