@hk_fan Yes I did enjoy the bling factor. It does give me the warm fuzzy glow of good jewelry, and I enjoyed it for 4+ years.

But in the end I ended up selling it. Not just cause it was not VFM, that it wasn't. But because of reasons I am currently writing about, two big but very easy epiphanies. First was my analog epiphany I wrote about here: https://audiofool.substack.com/p/why-i-sold-my-50000-dac-part-one?r=bu4av

@overthemoon    If it was me I ‘d be inclined to have a single DAC/streamer in order to save space and the cost of interconnects and power chords. 

Well, if you can afford a $ 50,000 DAC, then you can afford the cost of the interconnects and extra AC cords as well—just my two cents' worth. 

I went down this path earlier this year when I upgraded my digital frontend to Naim's Reference ND555 DAC/Streamer. I initially bought it with one 555DR PS power supply, but purchased a second power supply shortly thereafter. One power supply for the digital side and one for the analogue. To put it as the Brit's say; it's a wonderful sounding piece of kit. Yes, the rest of my system is on par with this, and yes my private listening room is set up accordingly. Some will criticize that I have a TV on the wall behind the equipment, but my wife and I are avid golfers and like to watch golf on mute while we listen to our music. I do understand that I am truly blessed to be able to afford such, and that I have a significant other who not only goes along with my hobbies, but enjoys them along side me. I know that I am in the minority of people who can do such.

Unless the studio you visited specialized in audiophile quality recordings, don't be influenced by them.  Why do you think that great sounding recordings are the exception, not the rule?  Most recording studios couldn't care less about sound quality.
